It is really simple to install a phpbb forum. Just follow the steps under and you got a brand new forum!

Step 1: First you have to go to this site and download the phpBB forum. Unzip the downloaded folder.

Step 2: Make a new folder on your main website directory and call it whatever you want the forum to be called. I just named it forum. Then upload the unzipped folder to it by using FTP.

Step 3: Now go to http://www.example.com/forum. If you named your folder something else than forum, just change it.

Step 4: Click on the installation button and phpbb will go trough a requirements list. phpBB will now automatically check if you got all the requirements you need for the forum to run properly.

Step 5: The next thing you have to do is fill out the database configuration. Make a new MySQL user or ask your host for the information.

Step 6: Click Proceed to next step and then again. Then fill out an admin form with username password and email.

Step 7: Keep clicking Proceed to next step and fill out the stuff you have to fill out or change and then you're done. The only thing left is to delete the install folder.
