Texture layout

Here's how you make the texture layouts I've been using on my hompage lately. It is really simple!:)
Step 1: Find a texture you like and want to use, I'll be using this one:

Step 2: Now go to this page to get some PNGs you like or make your own. I will be using these two of Hannah Beth.

Step 3: Open up the PNGs in Paint Shop Pro, maybe add a script to them and then paste them onto your texture. You can resize them and mirror them if you like to to make them look nice. I have also made the blend mode of one of the layers with Hannah lighten. Here's how my texture looks with the PNGs:

Step 4: Select the rectangle tool, which looks like this . Go to the first layer so that the rectangle will appear behind the PNGs. Then make a long box the way you want it. Change the opacity of the rectangle to 50%. Here's mine:

Step 5: I don't like the sharp edge of the rectangle, so I will use the eraser tool to erase some of the edge. Make sure the hardness of the eraser tool is at zero. Then you can add some text to it when you're done erasing some of the rectangle.

Step 6: I think the layout is starting to look pretty good, the only thing left is the finishing touches. For this I would like to make a new raster layer on top of all the others. Here I will add some light bubbles, use the paint brush tool, the hardness has to be on zero and your layers blend mode has to be on screen. I have added to light bubbles with different colors on the layout. Here's my finished result. I hope you like it:)
