Shattered Effect

This is something I've just learned to do. I think it looks really cool! And when you know what to do, it is very easy. Read the tutorial closely to learn how to do it.

Step 1: Start by finding a picture and open it in Paint Shop Pro. Then cut the picture out, so it has no background. It's smart to use a PNG if you have one.

Step 2: Then go to Image >> Canvas Size. We need to get some room around the picture so we can work with it. Go to this site to learn how to canvas size.

Step 3: Now choose the freehand selection tool, which looks like this: . change the settings on the tool before you use it:


Step 4: Mark around the bottom of the picture like I've done:


Step 5: Go to Effects >> Texture Effects >> Mosaic Antique.

Step 6: Match your settings to mine, then click 'ok':


Step 7: Repeat this three times and you're done. Here's my finished picture:
