See-through Text

See-through text is a cool effect you can use on your text, if you don't want it to be so visible!

Step 1: Start by opening the picture you want to write the text on. Select the text tool, which looks like this: , before you write your text choose the text to be Floating:


Step 2: Now write your text.

Step 3: Without removing the maring around the text, make a new raster layer (click Layers >> New raster layer). Then click Effects >> 3D effects >> Drop shaddow.

Step 4: Add a dropdown shadow of your choise and click ok. Remove the marking around the text by clicking Selections >> Select none.

Step 5: Now change the opacity on the layer palette so it looks like mine:


Step 6: If you've done everything correct your text will look something like this:
