Point to Point
Point to point is a cool way of marking around a thing, instead of making the marking close up on a person, it will be more straight and you can see a little bit of the background. If you still don't know what it is, take a look on this tutorial.
Step 1: Start by finding a picture you like and open it in Paint Shop Pro. Here's the picture I've chosen:
Step 2: Then click on the
freehand selection tool, which looks like this:

. And change the settings on the top, so it looks like mine:
Step 3: Then use the tool to mark around the picture the way you want it to be. Just click one place and then click on the next place and a line will appear betwene the to points. When you have marked all the way around the picture, then rightclick and the marking will be completed. Here's how it should look when you're done:
Step 4: Now press
Ctrl + C and then
Ctrl + V. The picture should now appear on a transparent background. And you're done.
Step 5: The only thing left is to add some effects and make it look cool. Something I know looks really good is to make it outlined, to do that, check out this tutorial
