Glow text is kind of a verson of the drop shadow text. It is very easy to do and looks great. I will show the tutorial on a black background, then you can see the effect better.

Step 1: Start by opening a new dokument, select a background and add a text with the font and color you want. You add text with the Text tool, which looks like this: . Here's my text:


Step 2: Choose the selection tool, which looks like this: . Then mark a rectabgle around the text.

Step 3: Then click on the text, when you do this, the marking will close up on the text. Go to Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow.

Step 4: A new window will appear, and here you can match your settings to mine, or try something different.


Step 5: Now you can repeat step 4 two more times and you'll get this result:
