Glowing Edge

This effect is best to use on PSD's. It looks really cool and are very easy to do when you first learn it;)
Step 1: Start by opening a picture you want to use in Paint Shop Pro. I'm going to use this picture:


Step 2: Now open a new dokument, it has to be bigger then the picture you're using. (you can see the size of the picture in the corner or right over the layer palette.) Then paste the picture over. Now we have a little more room to work on.

Step 3: Now add a background colour you like. Here's how I do this part: first I add a new raster layer, then I drag it under the layour of the picture. (you can do it your own way;))


Step 4: Use the Selection tool, which looks like this: , to mark around the picture. Then click on the picture, so that the marking goes just around it.

Step 5: Now go to Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shaddow... A new window will appear. Here you can match your settings to mine or try out different things yourself.


Step 6: You can repeat step 5 as many times you want, it depends on how thick you whant the edge to be. I've repeated it three times. Here's my result:
