Cropping

Cropping is when you're cutting off some of the picture. If you've made a layout and you feel the size is wrong or you want to cut off some of the picture on the right, this page will tell you have you'll do it. It's not hard to do, and it is very useful. When you're making icons, this is very good to know.
Don't use cropping to remove names/credits from layouts others have made. That is stealing.

Step 1: Open Paint Shop Pro and the picture you want to crop. I have chosen this photo:


Step 2: Now, select the crop tool, which looks like this: . Use the tool to mark what you want to keep of the picture. The dark aera will be removed.


Step 3: When you're happy with how it looks, click on the little V-symbol on the toolbar on top of the page .

Step 4: When that's done, you're finished. Here's how my picture/icon turned out:
