Haloscan comenting is a very easy commenting service you can use on your site. THay provide you with a link which you put on your site and people can click on it and comment the new update you've done. And the best of all, it is totally free!
Step 1: Go to this site: www.haloscan.com. On the top of the page you'll see a menu. Click Sign up.
Step 2: Fill out the form on the page you come to, to create your account. Then click Continue.
Step 3: You will resieve an email, ehch you have to read to vertyfy your username. But you can still log on to your account without vertifying it.
Step 4: After you've logged in to your account click install, right under the top tool line.
Step 5: To install the commenting right you have to match your settings to mine and then click Next.
Step 6: Now you'll get some codes you have to use. The first code is a code you have to paste in a HTML box on the top of the page you want to have the commenting on.
Then you have to paste the second code where ever you want. The second code is the one that will say: Comments | Trackback
Step 7: If you want more then one commenting page you have to change the part in the second code saying Name. You can let it say something that has to do with the updates, or just numbers. Here's what you have to change in the code: (click to enlarge)
Step 8: If you want to change the appearence of the comment box you have to go to Template.
Step 9: Choose one you like and click save.
