You won’t believe what Morten gave me for my 25th birthday. I can’t believe it myself! I have never had an Iphone. Best boyfriend ever!:)
PS. I know most of my pages aren’t working. I took a quick look at it, but couldn’t figure it out. I will take a closer look when I have time. Something must have happened when I uploaded the new theme.
You know I was headhunted a while back?
After over a months process, with interviews, I didn’t get the job. They told me I was one of the favorites and among the final four candidates, but they went with someone else. I got the news on Friday, which ruined my weekend. I’ve been down since then and haven’t had the motivation to apply for any other jobs. Though yesterday I finally pulled myself together and sent some applications around.
I actually have a new interview next Tuesday and another place that might be interested in me, I just have to call them tomorrow to set a date. So this is good news! I’m finally excited again and I’m starting to see a way out of H&M. Don’t get me wrong. I love working there, it’s just that I love graphic design more and I’m afraid to get stuck there.
I’ll update you more, when things get sorted out. Cross your fingers for me:)
Random photo from Australia. I Miss it!
Hope you all have a wonderful day:)
Of course I’ll be working late today at H&M, and won’t be home until 9:15 pm, which sucks. But Morten is gonna have dinner ready and he bought me something. I’m super excited!
Hi! Long time no see? Time flies. We’re suddenly at the end of January and I haven’t blogged since new years eve. It feel like yesterday (for me). Since we last talked two things has happened.
1. I started working at H&M again, January 3rd and been working there everyday since.
2. I’ve been head hunted by a graphic design studio in Oslo. I will tell you more about that as soon as I know more;)
Being back at H&M is okay. I like it, but it sorta feels like I never left and from time to time I’m tired of it. I’m back in Karl Johan, the place I worked at before I left for Melbourne, but I’m in a different department. I like my new department, it’s much better actually and there’s no checkout there, which I love. I hate standing there. I like it when I can run around, hang out clothes and clean the stands.
Morten and I moved into my dads house the 1st of January. We have no money and we probably have to stay here for a while. I won’t get my fist paycheck until February 20. I feel trapped. There’s so much stuff I want to buy and so much stuff I actually need (like mascara, day cream, new toothbrush etc.), but I don’t have the money to buy it. I got a loan that I have to pay back by the end of April, so there’s no way I can buy the stuff I need. God, I hate this!
On the positive side, Morten got a graphic design job and he’s doing great. I’m so happy for him!:)
Hi guys. So hard to keep you updated while I’m up here in Trysil. The days fly by so quickly and the internet here is horrible. Anyway, today we started the day snowboarding. We met up with Kristian (one of the guys we lived with in Melbourne) and Johnas (Morten’s friend). Not the best weather today, so here’s some photos from a couple of days ago when we had an amazing day in the mountain.
We’re kinda broke, so I’m not sure how we’re gonna celebrate the new year. We’ve been invited to the cabin Kristian is staying at so we’re going there and will just have to wait and see how the night progress.
Happy New Year everyone! See you in 2013:)
Merry Christmas everyone!
I’m in Trysil, Mortens hometown, with my father. We’re gonna celebrate Christmas with him and his family. It’s so nice here and sooo much snow. Tomorrow we’re gonna test our new snowboards. Can’t wait:)
So weird to come home to this:
And so good to finally see this guy again:
We landed in Sunday, so this is my third day back. Feels good to be home, but again so weird. I’ve almost forgotten how everything works in Norway. I’ve gotten so used to cars driving on the left side, escalators on the left, throwing empty bottles away, groceries being packed into bags for me and speaking english every time I’m in the store. Everything is so different. I need some more time to adjust and I need some warm clothes:P
It was so nice to see my father again! He’s the best<3
Morten is back in his hometown, Trysil. I won’t see him again until Sunday I think. The plan is to have Christmas with his family there. And my dad was going to join as well, but he’s afraid Chavo is going to be a problem. Because he can be a little devil when he’s in a new place with new people. Hopefully my father decides that it’ll be OK. I really want him to go to Trysil with me. And I know he and Mortens’ dad is gonna hit it off.
You’ve been great. I’m gonna miss you!
I made this post in advance, so right now I’m sitting on the plane on my way to Norway. The photo were taken about a week ago on our road trip down Great Ocean road with Mortens’ parents and my mom. Such a great trip.
Everything’s been so hectic lately. We’ve been washing the house for two days straight now. I’m getting so tired of cleaning! We only got some finishing touches left before everything is ready. I really can’t believe that I’m going back tonight. This 1,5 years has gone by so quickly. Feels like I arrived yesterday, though when I start to think of all the things I’ve experienced it feel like I’ve been here forever.
The clock is soon 4 pm, we have to leave for the airport around 7:30. My plane lands in Norway at 1:30 Sunday afternoon, where my father will pick me up. Haven’t seen him in over a year. Gonna be so good hugging him again!
After I finished packing my suitcase I started to look forward to going home. Glad I got to take everything I wanted with me. I had to throw a lot of stuff away. I wasn’t the only one though. We got so much stuff!! The new owners said they could get rid of everything for us. I bet they regret saying that after finding out how much it really is. Oh well, that’s their problem now:P
Everyone’s finished packing.
Morten cleaning the kitchen for the last time.
Stuff we’re getting rid of.
More stuff. We got a lot more, it just doesn’t show as good in the photos.
Today my father is turning 50. Im so sad I couldn’t be with him today. At least I got to celebrate him last year when he came here to visit me. Right now he’s in Spain celebrating with my brother, who moved there 6 months ago. I hope he’s having the best time there.
She’s landing in 10 minutes here in Melbourne! Yey! I haven’t seen her in about 1,5 years, so I’m really excited. I should run go get her at Souther Cross, might take her an hour or so getting there after landing. Can’t wait to show her Melbourne.
Mortens’ parents arrived four days ago. That’s why I haven’t been blogging. We’ve been showing them the city and enjoying the summer. We also had another garage sale this weekend. No luck. There’s almost no people showing, and those who are won’t buy anything. It’s gonna be hard getting rid of everything. Oh well.
I have to run!
I’m here! I’m here! The internet is finally back to “normal” speed. I didn’t have the patience to blog when the internet was slow, takes forever to log onto WordPress and even longer to upload photos. But I’m here now and I’m super busy these days.
Tomorrow we’re having our first garage sale. We’ll probably have another one in a few weeks, or maybe next weekend. Depends on what we get rid of this weekend. There’s also a lot of things we can’t sell yet, like beds, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, sofas, refrigerator etc. We’re still gonna live here four more weeks. But we figured since we’ve managed to collect so much crap over the last year we should start early. Or maybe it’s not that early? It’s only four weeks. shit. I don’t think I’m ready to leave yet. eek. Okay, maybe I am. But I’m gonna miss Melbourne so much.
The boys making posters for our sale. We should have made them earlier this week. This was sort of a spontaneous decision we made yesterday. So we got up early today and cleaned our garage, which looked like someone had set off a bomb in. Took us a couple of hours to make it look presentable. Even though we’ve now filled it up with all the stuff we’re selling.
Arianne and I bought the same nightstand from Ikea when we first got here, and they had the ugliest wooden color. Therefore we decided to paint them white today to increase the chance of getting some money back. They turned out really good actually. I’m hoping someone wants to buy them as a set.
This is how our garage look like at the moment. Everyone has their own little sales stand.
Here’s mine. Lots of crap, but also some good stuff. I hope I get rid of most of it tomorrow.
Today it’s one year since I got together with Morten:) We celebrated the day by going out to dinner, then we went to see Argo. Seen it? It was SO good! Morten even got me a little something, which was on the list I posted some days ago. I’ll show it to you later;) It’s been such a great day!
