Last day with Caroline

Today was Carolines last day with us. She went to a backpacker hostel for a couple of days to get to know some new people before she heads for Sydney. It’s been so nice having her here, though we probably haven’t been the best hosts since school started. However, today we decided to go out for a nice dinner in Melbourne CBD. We ended up at the Groove Train for some pasta, beer and wine.

I just love the lights in these two last photos. Morten is so handsome in this one:)

Back to school

Long time no see…. again!

We started school yesterday. After four months vacation. Weird. Those four months went by so quickly! Yesterday we had our first lecture, easy start. Then today we got our first assignment. A big one! We have to make logo and everything else for a starting company, a food van. It’s for a real client and the client wants something cool, hip, retro. I love the assignment and I’m super exited. The only problem is that I have to come up with a name for it first, which is really really hard. Any suggestions? I thought of Snack Box or Tasty Box, but I don’t feel it’s right just yet. hmm…

Anyways, since you saw me last I’ve colored my hair. It’s dark again, just like it was when I first came to Australia, before the sun died it. You like? I like!

My Birthday in photos

I had such a great birthday. It couldn’t have been better. We had a pool party here again. We barbecued, played in the pool, had tons of drinking games, Dom even fell asleep half way through. Pretty funny day! Here are some photos:

The sight that met me in the kitchen that morning. I was so surprised they actually did all this for me!

Unwrapping presents.

I was so surprised when I opened the shoes from Morten!

Birthday presents

I wasn’t expecting too much for my birthday. I’m on the other side of the world, away from my family and both Morten and I are broke. That’s why. But I was so surprised when I came into the kitchen on my birthday. Everyone was there with cakes and muffins and a couple of presents. Morten first gave me a big hoodie, which I was so happy for. Cause he bought one for himself the day before and I really wanted one as well. Then he pulled out another present… with the shoes I’ve been craving for ever since I saw them six months ago. Happy!!!!

I also got a present from Arianne and Cathrine, the two girls I also live with. I certainly wasn’t expecting anything from them. They did such a good job picking out something for me. The purse is just amazing, soooo me! And I really wanted that nail polish after seeing it on Cathrine a few weeks back. Perfect!

Photos from Torquay

Thanks for all the nice comments on my birthday yesterday. I had the best day! Photos from my birthday will be up soon as well as photos of the cool things I got. Morten did really good:)

Anyways, here are the photos from our little trip down to Torquay, which I promised you a few days ago. oops. We didn’t have time to go surfing the first day, so we only got to surf the second one. It was so much fun though and I’m starting to get the hag of it. I’m actually standing up now, without falling. So happy!

Today is my birthday

I’m turning 24!

We’re gonna have yet another pool party later today. I invited some of my closest friends down here for my birthday. I think it’s gonna be fun and the weather is amazing:) Morten is preparing breakfast in bed as we speak. Lucky me:D I should get off. Have a lovely day everyone!

Back!

Hi everyone! I’m back from Torquay. We came home pretty late so now we’re just gonna watch a movie and go to bed. I’ll show you photos from our trip tomorrow and tell you all about it. Here’s one from our surfing today:

Going surfing

Hi guys. I’m off to Torquay with Morten and Caroline. Will be back tomorrow night. We’re going straight down to surf, then we’ll spend the night in Josie’s garden in tents and go surfing again tomorrow morning. Josie is a friend of ours from school, who’s together with a norwegian boy in our class. I’ll bring my camera along to take some photos for you:)

See you tomorrow!

New heals

Morten, Caroline and I decided to go to Smith street yesterday. Smith street has a lot of big retail shops with tons of sale all the time. We actually went there so that Morten could find a new hoodie and a bike helmet. Though he didn’t find anything. Me and Caroline on the other hand ended up with new heals for only $10 (!!!). The height is perfect and i just love the thick heal. Even though I’m a broke student at the moment, I just had to have them. $10 – hello!?

The Branch

We went to the Branch today, for dinner. Every weekend they got $5 pizzas. The Branch is probably one of my favorite places down here. The people there are just lovely and the food is really good. It’s located in the middle of St Kilda. Sometimes they got live music there and it never fails, it’s usually amazing:) It’s been our hang out place for a couple of months now, I think. If you’re ever in the area, it’s worth checking out.

On the porch later that night, playing cards:)

My Valentine

For Valentines day Morten and I decided to go out. We started with a dinner at Fridays and ended the night with a movie at the Jam Factory in South Yarra. We saw The Girl with the dragon tattoo. The American version is hilarious, it sounds so weird when Americans try to speak Swedish. They should have converted all the names too English instead of keeping the original names. Oh well, it was a good day:)

Earlier that day Morten surprised me with the coolest necklace ever!

Happy (late) Valentine!

I’m back guys. Sorry for being gone for so long. Our internet were suppose to be up the 15th, but there was something wrong and we didn’t get it before today. I’m so happy. I can finally blog again.

Since we last spoke..
..we’ve had a proper housewarming party with all our friends here in Melbourne.

..Caroline, a friend of me and Morten from H&M, is staying with us. She’s backpacking through Australia and will stay with us for a couple of weeks before she leaves for Sydney.

..I celebrated my first Valentine with Morten, we went out for a nice dinner and a movie. Will show you some photos later, he also bought me a little gift:)

No internet

No internet = no blogging

Sorry guys! I’ll be back February 15th.

Pre-housewarming party

We decided to invite our closest friends on Saturday for a little barbecue/pool party. I had so much fun, everyone did. We grilled, played in the pool, jumped from the roof and into the pool, had drinking games and enjoyed the warm weather. We’re gonna invite some more people next weekend for a real housewarming party. Can’t wait:)

Me falling off the boat. HAHA!

Barbecuing

Everyone eating.

Drinking game. This was so much fun! We were six on each team. The first person has to drink what’s in the cup, then turn the cup upside down on the table edge and flip it till it turns and lands upside down on the table. Then the next person have to do the same and so on till one team is done. The loosing team has to fill the cup higher for the next rounds.

Our new home

So here’s finally some photos of our new home. It is absolutely amazing here. The kitchen, the bathrooms and a hallway with 3 bedrooms is brand new. The owners were originally going to sell the place. But it was too expensive and no interested buyers, so they decided to rent it out instead. Lucky for us.

Our house from the road. Very anonymous.

Photo 1: The passageway to the entrance Photo 2: The entrance with two doors. We’ve put all our longboards in the middle of the two doors, fits perfectly.

The walls in the entrance area. Love it!

The Kitchen! My absolute favorite part of the house.

We should get a new refrigerator. The one we have is so old and rusty. Back at our old house we decided to just scribble stuff all over it with a sharpie. Bad call.

The gas stove.

Our amazing pool!

Photo 1: Our little spanish outside area. It is so cute. Photo 2: One of the three bathrooms. I love that everything is so new.

The garage. I was so shocked when I first saw it. I had no idea we had a pingpong table in there.
