Unexpected nice weather

Yesterday was so boring. It rained ALL day. It was supposed to be exactly the same today, but suddenly the sun came out and all the clouds disappeared. I was so happy!

chilling on the porch.

I’m reading a new book now, called Room, so far I really like it!

I dragged the sofa out on the porch, so much better to sit in.

Mengele Zoo

Hi guys. Thank you for great feedback on my new layout. I’m so glad you like it! I’m sure you needed a change here as much as I did.

I haven’t written anything the last couple of days because I’ve had so much to do. I’m working on a project now, which I’ll tell you all about when it’s up and running. I’m super excited and a little bit nervous. I’ve also been helping Morten with a website he’s working on, which is not done yet, so I still have a lot to do. In a little over one week I’m going on a vacation. I’ll tell you more about that later as well. Right now I have so many things to look forward to, I just hope this week flies by really quickly.

I haven’t told you about any good books lately, mostly because I’m not reading as much as I used to. But now I’ve just finished a really good one, so I figured I should recommend it to you guys. It’s a Norwegian book, called Mengele zoo. There is also an english version of it. The story is about a little boy called Mino, he grew up in the jungle with his family, until one day when the Americans came to their country to tear down the forest to dig for oil. Mostly the book is about environment protection. You see the story through a little boys eyes, a little boy who loves the jungle, his birth place. He grows up and want revenge on the people who ruined his home. This is really a good book, and the turn it takes is so cool. Have you read it?

Tired of the old one

The previous layout was just a temporary one, cause I was so tired of the one before. I feel like this one is also temporary. Cause I never seem to be happy with what I make. Oh well. I hope you like the change though.

Me surfing

Surfing is not easy. I got up a couple of times, but I just fell seconds after. I’m going up to Gold Coast in the beginning of next month to meet Morten and hopefully go surfing again. I just hope I do better next time. I really, really wanna learn! Cause I had so much fun in Torquay last week.

Here I’m almost up:)

Waiting for a good wave.

Surfing in Torquay

Sorry again for being super bad at updating. We came home from Torquay Thursday night. I’ve just been relaxing and doing nothing since then. Here’s some photos from our trip. Unfortunately there’s no photos of me. I’ll probably post some later, cause Kristian took of me, while I was surfing. I just have to ask for his permission first;)

The little camping house we stayed in.

Beautiful colors in the sun set.

Great view from Danger point (I think it was called something like that).

The boys ready to surf for the first time. Well, Kristian had tried before though, last year in Bali.

Barbecuing with everyone.

The guys posing for me on the beach. Fredrik, Kristoffer, Kristian and Lars.

My little accident

You know I told you about my little accident yesterday? My foot is actually a little bit better today, it might have something to do with the antibiotics. I took two pills yesterday and one today. I’m gonna take them for 7 days, four tablets a day.

I went to the hospital on Saturday cause a guy at the pharmacy told me that I had an internal infection and that I needed antibiotics. The doctor at the hospital told me that he thought it would heal naturally, but he gave me the prescription for the medicines just incase. They also took some X-rays of my foot. It wasn’t broken.

I decided to start on the antibiotics right away, even though the doctor didn’t think I needed them. Because I’m having trouble walking, because of the redness and because it’s swollen. It just doesn’t feel right, and I’m afraid if it’s a bad infection.

My foot, yesterday you could see the different in size, but it’s better today. I also have a similar wound on my knee.

The bracelet I got at the hospital and the antibiotics. Hopefully the foot will we better soon:)

First glimpse of Torquay

First of all, sorry for being gone a couple of days. I’ve been too busy to update. On Thursday I went to see a friend just 10 minutes from our house, so I decided to longboard there and I fell. It was so clumsy of me, I got a scratch on my knee and on my foot. The one on my foot is most likely infected so I’ve had trouble walking. lol! Stupid me for falling. haha!

Then on Friday, after my little accident, we went on a day trip to Torquay. OMG, what a beautiful place! I took tons of photos, underneath is just some of them. Tomorrow we’re going back for a vacation. We’re renting a little house at a camping place from Monday to Thursday. I’ll bring my Mac, but I’m not sure if I’ll be abel to update. I’m finally gonna try surfing! wohoo! If my foot is better of course. I hope so! I promise to take tons of photos!;)

Front beach

The guys are having fun.

And of course the mandatory: jump on the beach photo! HA HA!

Lars brought a BIG watermelon. I think it was 15 kilos. We couldn’t even eat a quarter of it.

A cool path between the beaches.

Random surfers.

In Fitzroy

Yesterday was a good day. Pia and I went up to Fitzroy to look at some shops and have some coffees, but we met one of her classmates and decided to hang with them instead. I love when you have a plan and it totally changes and you end up doing something more fun instead. I took some photos for you through out the day:)

Cool place!

Random wall in Fitzroy

It went from sunny to dark clouds in a matter of seconds. We had to hurry home before the storm arrived. (I didn’t make it:P)

I wore this today

Today I met up with Pia and went to Fitzroy. This is what I wore. More photos from the day will be out later.

Dress from Cubus, shoes from Grensen, sunglasses and belt from H&M.

More butterflies

This time there were three yellow ones trapped inside the window. It’s actually an open hallway so they’re not trapped, but they’re sorta stuck. They got out eventually though. Aren’t they beautiful?

“Family” Sunday meal

Kristian made everyone a real Norwegian Sunday meal yesterday: meatballs in brown sauce with potatoes. He’s a really good cook! It tasted like heaven. The reason he actually wanted to make this meal was because of Anders. The first thing Anders, did when he came back to Norway for his vacation, was to post on facebook that he had had meatballs for dinner. He was kinda bragging about it, so Kristian got annoyed and wanted to show Anders that you can make meatballs in Australia too. Ha ha!!

A walk along the beach

The outfit photos from yesterday was taken during a walk along the beach. I absolutely love living down here. The location of our house is just perfect. Especially when the weather is good. Saturday was amazing. 30 degrees. No skies. Tanning on the beach. Yesterday was just as warm as Saturday, but it was cloudy and it was raining a little bit. It was nice to go for a walk though. Morten and I went to a place down here in Brighton where they have all these colorful beach houses. They were so cute. It’s about a 20 minutes walk from our house.

Oh, about the house! I told you a while back that we had to move. And then I told you about the house inspection we went on. We called up our real estate agent right after the house inspection, he told us that we most likely get to stay here till March. Because there is no contractors that wants to start demolishing in the middle of the summer. We’re still not sure how long we can stay, but since we haven’t heard anything I’m guessing we stay over the summer. I’m so happy! That’s all I wanted, summer by the beach.

My 50′s look

Here’s how I looked at the 50′s party yesterday. I wanted to go a little more high-class, but ended up being more grease. I’m happy with how it turned out though.

Morten and I before we went to the party. I’m wearing: skirt from Olga de Polga, top from H&M, shoes from Siren, denim jacket from Gina Tricot and scarf from a vintage store in St Kilda.
