Some inspiration for my packaging assignment. We have to make a serial of the product we choose. I’m still not quite sure what to make yet. Thanks for all your suggestions! I really appreciate it:)

Hi guys. Yesterday we got a new assignment at school. We’re going to make packaging again. Remember the last time? It went really bad. So I’m determined to make something great this time. The only problem is that we have to take an Australian product and launch it here in Norway. I will of course design a new package for the product and give it a new name/logo. This is not an assignment from a real client, it’s just to learn. But I need your help.
What is a typical Australian product? I’ve thought of something with surfing products, Australian cheese/ coffee/ wine/ beer. Please help!
When I woke up today I got a message on my phone from school saying the teacher was ill and that we have the day off. I love waking up like that way. I’ve decided to make something out of this day, do stuff I really should get done. So I’ve made a list. A to-do-list. By the end of the day, hoefully, I can cross out all the rows.

Trousers, cardigan and belt from H&M, necklace from Lindex.

I look crazy:P and I’m so hungover right now. I’m gonna go back to sleep now. Sorry for just vanishing the last days…
This week we’ve had a catapult assignment, which means we get it one day and then we have 24-48 hours to get it done. Last time we had 24 hours. This time we had 48. It is so stressful especially when it’s for a real client. This time it was Bellona, an international environmental NGO. They wanted us to come up with a campaign or a creative way for them to get more members. I decided pretty fast that I wanted to make them a new website, you can probably see why. Then we made a campaign, which I’m not happy with and a little symbol to celebrate their 25 years anniversary. The client didn’t even mention our assignment at the presentations today, so I’m sure we won’t get picked. If you want to see the website I made click here. Photos from yesterday:

Close up of me. I didn’t have time to put on make-up that day.

After school I had to work at H&M. I was so tired afterwards. Therefore to reward myself I went and got me the most delicious pizza ever. Yummy.
Todays outfit consist of this super comfy cardigan from H&M, Trend department. It’s oversized and looks kinda like I’ve borrowed my boyfriends cardigan, which I haven’t because there is nooo boyfriend. lol!:P The cardigan actually looks a little bigger in real life.

Jeans and Cardigan from H&M(Trend), cropped top from H&M(Divided) and scarf from Gina Tricot.
Today worlds greatest mom turns 50 years old (which she doesn’t look at all). We actually celebrated her day on Sunday, because that was the only day available for my brother. We went out to eat at an Italian restaurant at Aker Brygge, it was really nice and I know she had a good time. Today I’m meeting my mom to celebrate on her real day. I think we’re going out to eat sushi or whatever she want, since it’s her day:)

Happy birthday mom, I love you!
Two weeks before my treatment at the hospital I had to stop eating fish, milk products and salt with iodine. It was hard for me cause sushi is something I eat all the time. Just outside my door there is three sushi restaurants. Since I was little I’ve always loved fish and sushi is now exception. My favorite is salmon and avocado maki with chili-mayonnaise.

NOTE! I’m trying to fix the tutorials, I have so many so it takes time. Most of them is in bad need of an update. Today I’ve updated the one on how to display HTML codes.
Last Tuesday I went to the hospital for a scanning of my body. The camera uses gamma to pick up the radiation in my body. I was so nervous to see the pictures incase the cancer had spread. I had some radiation in my throat, which was expected and some in my stomach, which also is normal because the radiation is on it’s way out. Everything looked exactly like it was supposed to and I’m so happy. The doctor told me I can start to live normal again!!:D
I should probably have shown you how they look on, but I don’t feel like taking photos of myself right now:P Though I know I will wear them later and probably take photos then. So don’t worry. As you can see I’m soooo ready for summer, I want summer now! My wardrobe is all set! Any favorites?

It feels like I’ve been a little bit off lately, from blogging. The reason of course is my hospital stay but also a school assignment I’ve been working on. It’s not easy doing everything at once. Because of my hospital stay I haven’t been abel to do much school work either. We got the task last Tuesday and have our presentations tomorrow already. I really hated this assignment in the beginning because it was so optional. We could make anything we wanted with happiness. So Kristian and I decided to make a campaign. We wanted to know what people think is happiness, so we asked the question; What is happiness for you? We made a website and a fake contest. So you can go to the site, upload a smiling photo of yourself and write what happiness is for you. Then the winner of the contest will receive a trip for two where ever they want to go. We also made two posters which can be found on the buss, tram or train. Keep in mind though that the campaign is fake, this was just a school assignment.
Click here to see the website. It’s not a 100% done yet, some of the buttons don’t work yet but you’ll get the idea and that’s the point. I also wanted the codes to work a little bit different, but I didn’t have time. Here’s the finished posters:

We used elements from the website to make the posters. I’m quite happy with the result!
This years Fashion Agains Aids collection is all about unisex clothing with a sporty vibe. Comfort is a key factor and colours are naturals as well as pale pastels which means they can be worn by all. The collection is available in H&M’s Divided department from 26th April and 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world. Here are just some of the pieces from the collection, for more visit hmfaacollection.com.

This weekend has been so weird. I’ve felt dangerous and that’s a horrible feeling. On friday when I drank the radioactive iodine the nurse giving it to me managed to spill a little drop on her glove. She sort of freaked out and had to change her gloves. If it’s that dangerous is it really good for me to drink it? Anyway, I didn’t have any choice, it tasted like flat water. Not that bad actually, but the feeling I had while drinking it was bad. i just hope the cancer is gone now. I won’t know for sure yet, hopefully in a few months.
Staying in an isolate without internet is boring. Stupid hospital. My roomies (Greta) hard drive saved me. She has all kinds of movies and TV shows. So I started watching Grey’s Anatomy. A little weird watching that at a hospital, but I did and now I’m hooked. I’m at the end of season two. It was so nice to be abel to go home yesterday. Then again I still feel quite dangerous so I probably should have stayed home this week instead of going to school. I tested out my new lens at the hospital, here’s the result:

The lemon water I had to drink on Saturday. To get my salivary gland start working.

I finished reading a beautiful book called The glassblower of Murano.

Borred!

The view from my room.
Tomorrow I’m going back to the hospital for my (hopefully) last treatment. I’m going to drink something called Radioactive Iodine. This fluid will circle around in my body and find any leavings of the thyroid cells. If there’s any thyroid cells left it means I still got cancer. The Radioactive Iodine will destroy these cells, actually burn them away. When you do a surgery like mine it’s difficult to get everything out. So I really really need this treatment to get well again. It’s kinda scary though cause this fluid makes me send out radiation. The first two days are most critical, I have to be isolated for the safety of other people. Then the week after I have to stay at least two meters away from everyone to make sure they don’t get any damage from the radiation. Especially children and the pregnant.
Before the treatment I had to stop eating fish, milk products and salt with iodine. The reason is that I can’t have any iodine in my body. I also got two injections with some kind of hormone which needs to be high when I get the treatment. One injection on Wednesday and the second one on Thursday. They didn’t hurt that much actually, but it was weird getting them in my butt:P lol! I’m not so used to that. Then during the treatment I have to make sure to drink a lot of water so that I get everything out again. And the second day I need to eat a lot of sour candy to get my salivary gland to work. If I don’t they can get damaged by radiation. I’m really nervous, I’m afraid that something might go wrong. Though they use this treatment all the time and they know what they’re doing.
I’ll be back home again on Sunday and then on Tuesday I’m going to the hospital again to get a body scan. The scanner will detect where in my body the Radioactive Iodine has been picked up. If everything looks fine I will be cancer free and healthy again. If the doctors are not satisfied with the result I need to get a second treatment in 6-9 months. I’m crossing my fingers everything will be back to normal again after this weekend! Wish me luck!
PS. I’ve ordered internet for my room, but It’s not curtain they could fix it. Therefore you might not hear from me until Sunday. I really really really really hope I get internet, if not it’s going to get boring being locked away for two days!!!
