A chapter of my life has ended. Vejc-design does no longer exist. It´s a little sad.

I know many of you wanted me to keep it open. I just don´t have the money to keep two websites. I will add all the content from vejc-design to this site soon. I only have the tutorial-section left. It´s a big section so it´ll take some time. I have added some of them already though. There are just so many images and codes to change.

Right now school is taken so much of my time. We have started on our second task. We are working with words this time also. I´m totally stuck. No inspiration. God, I hate it! We have to choose a word or sort of a message, then we have to make the rest of the picture express it. I have to have ten sketches and one moodboard finished by tomorrow. I´ve only made two sketches and I have no idea what to do for the rest of the. Kill me!

Anywho, I´m at school right now learning a little more about Illustrator. So I have to go. Have a nice day:)

I got a MacBook Pro today! I´m so happy!!
The weirdest thing happend though. My parents bought it for me. I never though in a million years they would do anything like that for me. I´ve been raised to do stuff and buy things myself. They have never helped me with anything this big. I´m not sure why they did it yet, they´re going to tell me soon I think. My dad has been waiting for a message from the bank a long time now. He told me a couple of weeks ago. It is just weird. I´m happy though!

I´m sorry I haven´t made a new layout, I´m working on it. I have a school assignment that has to be finished as well, so I don´t have the time to do the layout at the moment. Maybe I´ll get the time later this week.

I’m so bored right now. My roomie is at her parents and will not be home for two weeks. On Wednesday she is going to the United States to see Blink 182. She’s so lucky! I’ve been living alone for a long time and gotten used to it, but now I feel so lonely when Mari’s not here. It’s nice having someone around. I have work and school though, so I’ll probably survive the next weeks.

I used my new dress at school and work today, I got some nice compliments from some customers:) So that was fun! On my way home from work I baught some candy. Have you tasted skittles crazy cores? It is really good. I love skittles:D
I should probably get to bed soon, I have work tomorrow. Have a nice weekend:)

Today at school I was so bored. We had Mac and the teacher was teaching us how to use Photoshop. It is still so basic. I know most of the stuff already and six hours on a mac kills you, I swear! Everyone was so happy when we could finally leave.

On my way home I stopped by H&M (the store where I work), I needed some make-up remover and then I saw this really cute sweater/dress. The shoulders where so cool! I’m going to wear it as a sweater though. Too short to be a dress. What do you think?



Oh, and by the way, watch out for a new layout in a couple of days;)

I went to the movies with my roomie after work today. We saw District 9. Great movie! Have you seen it? It’s about alians living on earth, or in district 9, a concealed aera. It sounds pretty lame, but the director has made it sort of as a documentary. Which makes it seem much more real.

I had never heard of the movie, Mari said she’d read it was really good. I think it started off kind of slow, though it changed quickly. I laughed several times, almost cried at one point, covered my eyes a couple of times and was mad at the stupid guy somewhere in the middle of the film, all the things a good movie needs;) Mari and I also decided we wanted to take the little baby-alian home with us. He was so cute!

If you haven’t seen it, I recommend you do!

This weekend was a lot of fun. Eventhough I had to work both Friday and Satureday. Right after work I went to this pub called Andy’s to watch Liverpool-West Ham. Great game, Liverpool won 3-2 and they absolutly deserved it! My roomie is a Liverpoolfan. I’ve been joining her almost everytime they play, I really enjoy it though.
Afterwards we went home to get ready for a moving-in-party at some friends. We didn’t stay very long because we wanted to go to a club instead. I think I had a little too much to drink, I even went to a nachspiel afterwards. Too many weird guys there, but I had fun.

I’m sorry I haven’t been writing in a while. I’ve been so busy with school and work.

Thanks for the feedback on my two pictures. The task was to make a black and white picture with Antikva letters. Antikva is a fontgroup. We had to have a word in it, sort of a feeling. I had problems in the beginning, I just couldn’t find any inspiration. Thanks to one of my visitors, Zoe, I chose the word free. It gave me some great ideas.

My final result is actually the same as the one in my last blog. I just added one more circle around the little e and changed the colors of the big letters. In the first one you couldn’t see the big e very well. The problem after I changed it was the big R. My teachers said that I could actually use a color on it to make it more visible. Though I’m done with the task I think I might change it another time.

We got our second task at school today. This time we have to use Grotesk letters (not sure what it is called in english). Which is the next fontgroup we are going to learn about. I’m so happy because we can finally use some colors. Today I have to make a moodboard. A moodboard is sort of an inspiration source. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to do it yet, but I’ll figure it out:)

I’m so tired right now. I’ve been working my ass off tonight. I’m so pleased with how the pictures turned out. Though I still have one more to do and that one has to be perfect. On these two I had room for mistakes. Which I really needed. The first one is done with a lot of different papers, which I have cut out and pasted together. The second one is done with markers, it is not done as carefully as the first, but I love the look of it. I’m not sure yet what technique I will use on my final product. We’ll see after I get some feedback at school tomorrow.

As you can see I chose the word free. I wanted the last “e” to be kind of alone/free from the rest of the letters. And to make the last “e” come more alive I turned it a little. What do you think of the pictures? Which one do you like the most?

Today my phone woke me up. It was a girl from school, I had totally forgotten that we were supposed to meet at school today to work on our sketches. I’m not sure if I’m going down there or if I’m just gonna stay here and finish them. It would be nice with some feedback from the others though. This week I only have school on Tuesday and Thuresday. Really nice with some sparetime.

We have to have two finished sketches by tomorrow, so today I got a lot of work ahead of me. I think I’m just going to sit here, but I have t get out of the appartment to get some equipment. I’m still not sure how I’m going to execute the task to get it exactly the way I want. Wish me luck.

I can’t wait for Mari to get home. Right now she is out getting bangs. She just decided yesterday that she would do it. I’m wondering how it’ll turn out on her. Probably great. She makes everything look good:)

Oh, and by the way, I’ve finished the PNG section. The only one left now is the tutorials.

The past few days has been so stressfull. On Friday I first had school and then afterwards I had to work, I wasn’t home untill late. God, I was tired. Then yesterday I also had to work. Since I’m only working part time now I have to work all the weekends. Which sucks! Last night I had some friends over. We went out to a club just 5 minutes from my appartment. It was fun, I meet some nice people. The best part is that I could just walk home when the club closed, instead of sitting on a full bus with drunk people trying to get back to Asker. I love living in Oslo! Everything is just right outside my door.

I made a new header for Maris’ (my roomie) blog today. I wanted it to be simple and neat. I’m happy with how it turned out. And she liked it too. I made it without her knowing it, so it was sort of a surprise. Always fun to see the reaction. Her blog is marey.blogg.no, check it out and tell me what you think.

Sitewise I haven’t added all the pages yet, I still have the PNG and tutorial sections left. There are just so many pages. It’s going to take forever! And after I’ve edited like ten pages I just get so tired of it. It’s boring:P I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean!?

I’m still having trouble with the school assignment. I’ve managed to make some sketches though. Only they’re not that good and none of them really inspires me to work further on. I chose the word anger, but then one of you mentioned the word free so I’ve made some sketches of that word as well.

So far I think I like the one which says anger and has these spikes on. I can see a potential in it. I still got four more sketches to do before tomorrow. I’m just stuck again. I’ve been taking tons of breaks all day to work a little on my website.
I’ve added a few more pages, the graphic section is finished, I think. And also some others. It is such a huge job moving all of the pages. Everyone of them has to be changed! My two biggest nightmares is the PNG and tutorial sections. Argh!

You guys just have to be patient. It isn’t easy going to school, work and at the same time update my website. The fact that all my artwork/pictures/layouts got my old sitename on doesn’t make it any easier. I hope to change this in time as well.

God, I’m totally blank.

I have this task for school which I’m really having trouble with.
I have to find a song, then a word that describes the song. The word has to be a feeling or maybe something to do with the song. But the word can’t be too long. It can’t have more than 6 letters.

I was actually just planing on finding a fun word to work with and then afterwards I’m going to find a song that can go with it. Eventhough it’s not the way the teacher wants us to work:P

With this word I am going to make a typographic artwork in black and white. So before friday I have to make 10 sketches using this word in a composition.
If I could only get a cool word that inspires me there would be no problem. I’m just totally blank at this point. I’ve thought of anger, happy and maybe intense. But none of them really does it for me.

Therefore I am asking for your help. Do you know any cool words/feelings I could use. That would be so helpfull!:)

Wow, I’ve almost forgotten how this works.

First of all I have to tell you the reason why I’ve been so slow getting up my new domain. The internet here in my new appartment sucked. About a week ago I finally pulled myself together, I went to the store and bought a new mobile internet. This means I can be online where ever I am. How good it that? yey!
I just have to buy a laptop. I´m planing on getting a mac, but I´m a little short of money at the moment.

The pages from my previews website woun’t be up right a way. I have tons of work to do to get this website finished. This is my way of looking at a website – it never ends, you’ll never finish. There is always new stuff to add and things to update all the time.
I´ve decided to open the site even though I haven´t added all the pages yet. But don´t worry everything will be up eventually. The sucky part is that all my work has my old sitename. I will change this in time as well. It will take ages though!

I started school a couple of weeks ago. Weird being back. Homework, teachers, earning less money:P I still work at H&M, though only part time. I´ve also changed store from Asker to Karl Johan (Oslo). Weird working in such a big store. In Asker we were about 15 people and in Karl Johan there is almost 60. I haven´t even met all of them yet. I´m actually meeting new people there everyday. I hate it, I miss Asker.
The first week when you start to study at a university here in Norway is called fadderuke. This is one week where you drink and party all day and get to know your fellow students. It was a hard week with a lot of fun!

Right now I´m at school. Today we are learning Illustrator. The teacher is so boring and really slow. He is taking tons of breaks, which is so not necessary and the stuff we are learning is so basic. I know how to do everything already. oh well, I have to go. Have a nice day!
